Our services and offerings are subject to the processing of personal data, and therefore data protection is highly prioritized at Formula.
Formula is responsible for the processing of the personal data registered about you as an individual. As the data controller, it is our duty to ensure that the processing complies with the requirements that are applicable at any given time according to the regulations in the Faroese data protection law.
Formula informs you about a range of conditions and rights that you have according to the Faroese data protection law. The notice describes in detail how Formula processes and protects the personal data for which we are responsible.
Formula primarily has the obligation to disclose:
• Processing of personal data, • Who the data controller is,
• The purpose of the processing, and
• Potential recipients of the information.
Formula is responsible for the personal data of employees at Formula, customers, business partners, and providers in connection with our operations and services. Processing of personal data will always be based on this notice. In certain cases, Formula may send or provide additional notices regarding the processing of personal data if the processing is not sufficiently described in this document.
Processing of personal data and purposes:
1. Applicants, employees, consultants at Formula, etc.: In connection with job applications, employment, external consultancy services, support tasks, or similar, Formula processes a range of personal data about you. The specific personal data are the basis for the processing in this context.
2. Contacts of customers, collaborators, and providers: Formula records contact information of individuals, e.g., customer contacts, business partners, or providers. The purpose of this registration is to enable Formula to facilitate services, such as newsletters, event participation, courses, support tasks, or participation in other activities, including projects. Formula only records the personal data necessary to provide the specific service, e.g., the service or the settlement for that specific service.
3. Formula as a data processor: In several cases, Formula acts as a data processor for our business partners, e.g., in connection with services and support tasks, and in connection with our hosting services. As a data processor, the processing at Formula is carried out according to instructions from the data controller and the corresponding specific data processing agreement between the parties.
Legal basis for the processing:
Personal data are registered and processed in connection with the above.
The legal basis for the processing of personal data is § 8, paragraph 1, no. 1, 2, and 3, as well as § 12, paragraph 2, no. 1, 2, 3, or 7 in the Faroese data protection law. Formula thus follows an authorized approach regarding the processing of personal data.
Storage and deletion of personal data:
Formula has clear rules and procedures for when personal data are deleted. This is to ensure that personal data are only stored to the extent that there is a legitimate and legal purpose for the storage. The purpose can be with regard to specific legislation, e.g., accounting legislation, or to ensure that a specific service can be provided according to an agreement.
Disclosure of personal data:
Formula does not disclose personal data to third parties unless required or mandated by relevant legislation, agreement/contract, or requirements from public authorities, e.g., TAKS.
Similarly, Formula does not transfer personal data abroad or to third countries unless necessary in connection with specific services and operations, as described below.
Formula always ensures a legal basis for potential transfer of personal data and notifies about these transactions when such transfer takes place.
The transfer of personal data abroad takes place in connection with these specific services:
• Email communication with Formula,
• Task management and service tasks,
• Registration for courses and events,
• Use of the Formula Online Shop and the website.
The location of the transferred data is within the EU/EEA. By using these services, you simultaneously accept that Formula transfers data abroad.
Categories of personal data that we collect:
Formula processes personal data about you in connection with specific services or offerings. The information can be regular personal data such as name, personal identification number, address, and financial information. It can also include sensitive personal data such as health or professional association.
Use of cookies:
The Totalview website uses cookies to improve the service on the site, e.g., to make the website more personalized and relevant for visitors. The use of cookies is permitted with explicit consent from the visitor, which can always be withdrawn.

According to the data protection law, you have a range of rights, outlined in Chapter 4 of the data protection law. These rights include:

You have the right to access your personal data, request deletion of information that Formula no longer has a purpose to store, request correction of your personal data if it is inaccurate.

The possibility to complain to the Faroese Data Protection Authority
According to § 76 of the data protection law, registered individuals can complain to the Data Protection Authority about the processing of personal data.
If it is assessed that Formula does not process your personal data in accordance with the regulations in the data protection law, it is possible to complain to the Data Protection Authority about this matter. You can complain about processing that affects you by contacting the Data Protection Authority at dat@dat.fo or by calling +298 309100.
