It has been a busy several months for the Totalview’s Mobile team and we’re excited to give an update on what is new in our iPhone app.

The new iPhone app experience is part of a larger mobile roll-out that has taken place over the past few months which also includes the launch of a new Android app and a redesign of the Windows Phone app.

The simple clean design gives a great user experience

Our development team has been hard at work rebuilding the mobile experience from the ground up. With the new design we can give our users the same great Totalview experience across all mobile platforms with respect to the individual differences within each platform. All the mobile apps are built as native apps (not web apps) to give a faster, smoother and more reliable experience.

We have designed the iPhone app and our other mobile apps with a deep focus on simplicity and utility.

“With the new clean and bright design we want put more emphasis on content and features relevant to the user,” says Kári Holm Johannesen, head of User Experience Design for Totalview.

Now the iPhone app has a more compact design that allows you to scan more information at a glance. Here are a few of the changes we have done to the different parts of the app:

– My State: On the Change state option list you can now see when your state ends and your phone’s forwarding state

– Calendar: New and improved calendar view

– Contacts: On your contact list you can now see their personal state message and when they will be available again. Tap on a contact and you will see a new and improved calendar view

– Call: To make the navigation even simpler we have integrated the Call Log into the Call menu. Tap on the arrow to the right on the call log list and it will take you straight to the contact details

The new iPhone app experience is available today in Apple’s App Store. Totalview’s mobile apps for Android and Windows Phone are available in Google Play and Windows Store. All the apps include a demo version that you can try free by tapping “Sign in as demo user” on the introduction screen.
